TOOL LIBRARY POLICIES
Only residents of Indianapolis(as constituted by Marion County) who are over the age of 18 are eligible to borrow tools from the SFP Tool Library (SFPTL)
Tools and equipment are loaned for 1 or 7 days. Failure to return the tools and equipment by the due date will incur late fees and stop the account. After 30 days, unreturned tools and equipment will be considered stolen property, and charges may be filed.
Tools must be returned to the Soul Food Project staff. Tools cannot be dropped off during closed hours.
For those unfamiliar with a particular tool, safety training materials such as manuals (if in the possession of the Tool Library) will be made available upon request. However, by taking possession of any item, the member certifies that he or she can use that item safely and adequately.
Necessary safety equipment is available upon request by the Member..
Tools must be returned clean and cords coiled, or you will be charged a $5.00 fine.
General late fees per tool/day are $.50 for hand tools, $1.00 for power tools, and $5.00 for 1-day rentals. *Please always refer to the tool list for late fees per tool/ per day.
